About Korea Festivals

Korea Festivals is a directory of festivals and events across South Korea for visitors from abroad. Every festival has its own page with dates, the venue and address, opening hours and admission, official links, and a short note on why it is worth the trip and how to get there from Seoul. Hubs group the same festivals by week, month, region and type.

Where the data comes from

Festival listings, descriptions and photographs come from the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) through its public TourAPI 4.0 service, in English, Japanese and Traditional Chinese where available. The site re-syncs every morning (Korea time), so dates and programs reflect the latest KTO data. Photographs remain the property of KTO or the credited photographer and are shown with attribution.

Editorial notes

The “Why go”, “How to get there from Seoul” and “Tips” sections are short notes written with the help of an AI assistant from the KTO facts on the same page plus general public-transport knowledge. They never invent dates, prices or line-ups; when something is not in the source data it is left out. If a festival’s dates or venue change, the note is regenerated.

This site is independent and is not affiliated with any festival, local government or the Korea Tourism Organization. Programs, dates and fees can change at short notice — always confirm on the official site linked from each festival page before travelling. Ticketing and tour links may be affiliate links; see the privacy page.
