Details for the 2026 festivals will be updated as they become available.*Imsil N Cheese Festival is held every fall in Imsil, the birthplace of cheese production in Korea, at Imsil Cheese Theme Park and Imsil Cheese Village, which are proud symbols of the region. Visitors are greeted by the aroma of delicious cheese as they wander through the beautiful chrysanthemum flower garden with millions of blooms. The festival features more than 10 main themes and 70 programs centered around cheese, offering a rich and diverse experience. Events include Imsil N Busking, kids’ concerts, various craft experiences, and a stamp rally tour, ensuring plenty of fun for everyone.◎ TipIt is recommended to bring a tripod or an extra battery pack to take many pictures of the quaint buildings and flower gardens at the festival.
Why go
Held each autumn in Imsil, Korea's birthplace of domestic cheese production, this festival centres on Imsil Cheese Theme Park and Imsil Cheese Village. Visitors can wander a large chrysanthemum flower garden, sample cheese-themed food and try over 70 programs across 10+ themes, including busking, kids' concerts, craft activities and a stamp rally.
Getting there from Seoul
Imsil has its own station on the Jeolla Line, reachable by ITX-Saemaeul or Mugunghwa train from Yongsan Station. Intercity or express buses to Imsil Bus Terminal are also available from Seoul's bus terminals. From Imsil station or the bus terminal, the festival venues (Cheese Theme Park, Cheese Village and the Imsil-eup area) are a short local taxi or bus ride away.
Tips
- Bring a tripod or a spare battery pack — the flower gardens and village buildings are popular photo spots.
- General admission is free, but some hands-on programs carry separate fees, so budget extra for activities.
- The festival spans several sites (Theme Park, Village, and Imsil-eup), so plan for some local transport between them.
